WHAT: Mathobotix after-school STEM Robotics classes are coming to Saddleback College Campus this Fall! Attend the Mathobotix Open House, Review the STEM Curriculum and get your questions regarding the class answered. Enroll onsite for the Fall session.
Drop your kid/s off for a fun build night! They will be challenged with LEGO structures/projects to build and get to test them out against other teams. Kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade are welcome to attend our build night. Mathobotix will be providing pizza and drinks for a fee!
Featured STEM Presentation: Arduino Controlled 3D Printer and Automated Drink Dispenser
By James Cyril Ablan Go-student from California State University Long Beach, and a Mathobotix STEM Mentor, in the process of earning a degree in Computer Engineering Technology. He enjoys applying his STEM knowledge in a hands-on DIY fashion. Some projects that he has done include Prusa 3d printer and an automated drink dispenser.
Rep Rap Mendel Prusa 3d printer-an Arduino controlled 3D printer that uses 5 stepper motors to move the X, Y, and Z-axis to extrude either PLA or ABS plastic layer by layer to create 3D designed objects.
Automated drink dispenser-Designed, programmed, and built a scalable microprocessor controlled automatic drink dispenser. With a touch screen interface users can select a drink from a dynamically populated menu system.
